Dear Betty,
Your letter is wonderful. Thank you so much! The "kids" are scattered about, raising families, etc. There will be more news about them in my upcoming book about the whole experience, if I can gather them in for updates. I don't teach anymore, I just compose music, and greeting cards, focusing these days on writing musicals for the stage. My latest is Pride and Prejudice, my most ambitious effort to date.
Thanks again for writing Betty.
All the best,
Rita
PS--If you want the CD of the Miss Abrams album, let me know. I should be able to sell it from my website soon.

I have a vinyl copy w/original jacket of "Miss Abrams and the 4th Grade Class of Strawberry Point School," and I wouldn't take anything for it! I am so proud of it! It wasn't easy to come by. You and the kids were just wonderful! Where are the kids now--so many years later? Do you still teach?

I play the album occasionally, just to remind myself of simpler times in bygone days! Thanks for a wonderful album!
