I loved this when I heard it in the summer of 1970, and always wondered what the performers looked like. This video really brings back that era for me. You really had a talented group of kids…this song is timeless.

Dear Rita:

Rita, I attended the James Otis School in East Boston during the 1966 – 67 School year, I recall and correct me, if I am wrong. You had a stuff baby alligator that sat on your desk. Well, I was scared stiff of that alligator. Memories of that came back to me when I seen your CD of songs with the 3rd grade class from the strawberry point school. My wife couldn’t believe I remembered a Kindergarten teacher’s name. Especially, when I can’t remember our twin son’s cell numbers. Rita, I just want to say thanks for the memories.

Calling all Strawberry Point School ex-Third Graders! Jason Lewis just put an old video of us and our song, “Floating Away,” on his wonderful website. Take a look, and send all class members my way. I need to locate them all!

I am thrilled to find your site and am absolutely gaga over “The One I Would Be with You”.

Has this musical been produced on dvd or cd?….I now have to see and hear it!

I now have to find out if it is going to be produced in the Boston Area.  I would go to New York to see it too.
